A Little About Me One of my early fond memories of art is looking forward to using my Mom's special colored pencils! Art nourishes my soul. Many have told me that I definitely have my own funky style. It's a style that has taken me from a to z in: working with clay, drawing and painting, beadwork, fabric art, photography, and collage. Part of having such a diversity in my life is what makes me...me. I'm like a bee going from flower to flower, always busy, always creating. When I draw it just seems to flow from my hands instinctively. Always keeping with me the inspiration of growing up in New England has come out in my art in many ways. I love to invent my own fun and whimsical figures, animals, plants, trees, leaves, and anything else that comes to mind! Lately the direction I have been going in is with the vast exploration of acrylic painting, collage work and handmade art journals. Putting together assorted found objects and all sorts of papers with my photos and drawings, is how I create my favorite collages and altered art books. I have been in remission from Hodgkin's lymphoma since August 10th, 2000, when I had a stem cell transplant that saved my life. It has made me more determined than ever to make an art career that is ample and fulfilling. | ||
