Dirigo Road Gallery

dirigo road galleryDirigo Road Gallery, an online cooperative gallery of Maine artists and fine artisans, was conceived and created solely as an internet-based entity to promote, market and sell the work of its member artists to a worldwide audience. In doing so, its co-founders, artists themselves, have realized a long-term dream to provide increased recognition and economic opportunity for Maine artists and fine crafters.

The cooperative's collective work -watercolors, pastels, prints, jewelry, photography, fiber and wood - is displayed in a clean, elegant and professional website - easy for the customer to navigate, browse and shop. Displays of artwork are dynamic and rotating, as in a mortar and bricks gallery. And, like a real mortar and brick gallery, when the customer enters the Dirigo Road site, they experience a specific and very real atmosphere, as if they're walking into an actual place in Maine, evocative of the rural communities and spectacular landscapes we inhabit.

Dirigo Road brings these special places to our customers, while affording its member artists an opportunity to earn a living doing what they love to do - creatively expressing themselves through the process of making art.
